Frederick J. Barnes, M.D.

Hand, Wrist, Knee, and General Orthopedics to Include Ankle, Foot, Elbow, Hip, Neck, Shoulder, Spine and Sports Medicine

Dr. Barnes is chief of the Department of Orthopedics at Pocono Health Systems, he is the vice president of the Monroe County Medical Society, a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and also serves as assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at The Commonwealth Medical College. A graduate of Cornell University Medical College, Dr. Barnes completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers) Medical School, a Level I Trauma Center. He served as chief resident in orthopedic surgery at the university.

Dr. Barnes is board-certified and is on active staff at Pocono Medical Center. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Patrick R. McDonald, D.P.M.

Ankle, Foot and Podiatry

A graduate of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, Dr. McDonald received his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a three-year residency and also served as chief resident of podiatric medicine and surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University College of Medicine, a Level I Trauma Center. He treats a wide array of foot and ankle disorders, both surgically and non-surgically. Dr. McDonald is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Additionally, he is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and The Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association.

 

John A. Paglia, M.D.

General Orthopedics, Fracture Care, Arthroscopy, Knee, Shoulder, Wrist, Hand, Foot, Ankle, Hip, and Back

A graduate of Georgetown Medical School, Dr. Paglia completed one year of general surgical training and four years of orthopedic surgical training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers) Medical School, a Level I Trauma Center. He served as chief resident in orthopedic surgery at the university. Dr. Paglia is board-certified in orthopedic surgery, on active staff at Pocono Medical Center, and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Brian A. Powers, M.D.

Knee, Shoulder, Sports Medicine, Elbow, General Orthopedics to Include Ankle, Foot, Hand, Hip, Neck, Spine and Wrist

A graduate of John Hopkins University, Dr. Powers completed his internship and orthopedic residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers). He served as administrative chief resident in orthopedic surgery at the university. Dr. Powers is board-certified, on active staff in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, and also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is prior Chief of the Department of Orthopedics and he also currently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Medical Staff at Pocono Medical Center.

Allister R. Williams, M.D.

Spine and General Orthopedics

A graduate of Brown University, Dr. Williams received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina where he also completed his orthopedic surgery training. He served as chief resident in orthopedic surgery at the university hospital. Dr. Williams then completed a combined neurosurgical and orthopedic spinal surgery fellowship at Yale University. Dr. Williams is currently on active staff, serves as the head of the spine surgery service at Pocono Health Systems, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
